Karen Haslam, 65, passed away from natural causes at her home in Idaho Falls, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was born on June 14, 1948, in Tuscon, Arizona, to Malcom & Helen Cox. Born the youngest of five children, she was the only girl. She was raised in Arizona and loved running barefoot thru the desert. She married her only love, William Dee Haslam in La Dalles, Oregon, on September 11, 1963. Together they had five children. She worked at the North Hi-way Café for 18 years. She loved her cat Baby, Nascar, WWE wrestling, Wii bowling and any time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a sweet, kind woman. Known to be giving to others, she enjoyed adopting families every year for Christmas. Survivors include one brother, Jack Cox of Fresno, California; one son, Brian Haslam of Idaho Falls; three daughters, Tammy Haslam and Carol Ann (Dale) Walton of Idaho Falls, and Bonnie (Jason) Gradner of Aloha, Oregon; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her mother and father, and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
