Ruby Delphine Black

July 16, 1913 — August 17, 2014

Ruby Delphine Black, 101, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Monticello Assisted Living in Idaho Falls. She was born on July 16, 1913, in Headrick, Oklahoma, to John Franklin and Maryn Delphine Sharp Sieber. Until she was 15 she was raised by Mom and Dad Baker in Camden, Indiana. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma. She married Paul George Black on March 1, 1930, in Oklahoma. She lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico and Idaho. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church until the last fifteen years and she was a member of the Idaho Falls First Nazarene Church. She was a gifted oil painting artist. She enjoyed crocheting and speed reading. She loved Jesus and still does and had a caring spirit for others.
Survivors include her two sons, Paul (Shirley) Black of Idaho Falls, and David (Donna) Black of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; three grandsons, Paul (Jerree) Black of Plymouth, Michigan, Darrell (Debbie) Black of Aurora, Colorado, and Darin (Debbie) Black of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one granddaughter, Jean (Greg) DeField of Idaho Falls; and five great-grandchildren, Geoff (Saleena) Black of Michigan, Melodee Black of California, Danny Black of Michigan, Kristi (Jake) Brinkerhoff of Colorado, and Cody DeField of Washington; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul George Black.
A Graveside service for family and friends will be held in Bethany, Oklahoma, at a later date.
