At 92 years of age, Adelina P. Solis was promoted to Glory on March 30, 2014 in her own home surrounded by generations of her legacy. Adelina, born on September 20, 1921 in San Ygnacio, Texas to Eudoxio Paredez and Sinforiana Martinez Paredez, was one of six children. In January of 1941 she was married to Tomas Solis Sr., and together they had six children; Tomas Jr. (Gloria), Manuel, Arnoldo (Raquel), Israel, Isaias, and Lydia.
Adelina and Tomas settled in Twin Falls in 1964. Adelina, a member, a soldier of The Salvation Army church, loved to actively worship with her family and friends. She managed The Salvation Army Thrift Store for roughly 25 years and then retired, but being an active lady, she continued to work for another five years at Universal Frozen Foods.
Adelina was preceded in death by her husband Tomas Sr., her son Manuel, her daughter-in-law Raquel, her great-grandson Thomas James Navarrete, her brothers Eleazar, Ramon and Eliseo Paredez, and her sister Enriqueta Martinez. She is survived by her sister Hermina Paredez, loving children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1 pm at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park", with viewing the day prior Wednesday, April 2 from 6-8 pm and an hour prior to the service.
