Twin Falls - Agnes (Aggie) Kathryn Van Buren, 91, of Twin Falls passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Aggie was born September 11, 1922 in Lamar, Missouri, to Roxie and George Reis. There were five children in the family, four boys and one girl.
Aggie went to school in Lamar, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Harvey Van Buren, in Gerard, Kansas on December 23, 1945. Aggie and Harvey had one son, Ronald Dean (Ronnie) Van Buren, born October 15, 1958 in Fallon, Nevada. Ronnie preceded his parents in death on September 25, 1986.
Aggie worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot for 8 years and at the Golden Key Drug Store, in Hawthorne, Nevada for 7 years, before she became a stay at home Mom with her son Ronnie. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She liked to go camping, fishing, working on church activities, and just being with Harvey and her family. She had numerous nieces and nephews who will miss "Aunt Aggie" greatly.
Aggie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harvey, nephews, Steve (Romana) Farnsworth, Gerald (Mary) Reis, and niece Barbara Reis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and son.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6 - 8 pm at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" with a Rosary Service at 7 pm. A graveside service will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at West End Cemetery in Buhl, ID at 3:00 pm. To leave condolences please visit www.whitemortuary.com.
