Paul was the oldest son of Frank and Margaret Leppert, born on Nov. 1, 1956 in Boise, ID. Paul was always a country boy at heart loving the outdoors, riding and roping, and fixing cars. He was just as comfortable behind the wheel as he was in the saddle. Paul drove truck for 29 years logging in over a million miles driving big rigs across the country and in the woods. Throughout his life some of his best times were spent on the back of a horse herding cows or just out ambling along breathing in the scents of horse and leather. In his heyday, Paul also enjoyed the thrill of climbing on the back of a saddle bronc and grabbed a few belt buckles for his rides. Family always ranked number one for Paul, and he worked to keep in touch with those he held most dear. He attended numerous ball games and 4-H shows no matter how he was feeling to support his young daughters and show them how important they were to him. Whether it was dancing until midnight or enduring the endless hours of back to school shopping, Paul loved spending time with Paula and the girls. He also devoted the last five years to being a stay at home dad, primarily taking care of his youngest daughter who loved being daddy's little helper. Paul touched a lot of lives and built some amazing friendships in his life, like, Mike the childhood friend, or Lin who became like an aunt, or even the young men who helped Paul around the place when he needed young, strong hands. We will all miss him. Paul is survived by his wife of 16 years, Paula (Platz) Leppert and their three daughters, Shawnee, Cherokee, and Lakota; his son, Shilo Leppert; his sisters, Lori Chandler (Jesse Flores), Rosie Castle (Ron), and Ellie Haily; his brother, Andy Leppert (Deanna); two grandchildren, Chelsea and Braydenn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Leppert; his first wife Judy (Cisneros) and their two
ons, Michael and Cheyenne; and his sister Debra Rosen. Memorials may be made to Heart ‘n Home Hospice, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
