Anna Ruth Brookshier

Anna Ruth Brookshier 88 of Idaho Falls, formerly of Shelley, ID. passed away Friday 4/22/2022 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of an extended illness. Anna was born on 8/6/1933 in Richland, Oklahoma the daughter of Charles Grover Howe and Margaret Mae Howe. Anna was raised in Healdton, Oklahoma and attended and graduated from Healdton High School where she met the love of her life Royce Brookshier. On 6/14/1950 she and Royce were wed in Gainsville, Texas. Together they raised a son, Alan Brookshier. After living in multiple states, moving due to her husband’s work, they ended up in Shelley, ID. where they resided for 45 years. Finally, they moved to Fairwinds Sand Creek in Idaho Falls, ID. in July 2021. Throughout her life she enjoyed being with family, her many friends and spending many hours on her craftwork, quilting and other various hobbies. She is survived by her husband, Royce, of 72 years, son Alan (Peggy) Brookshier, grandson Mark Brookshier, and nephews and nieces. She is preceeded in death by her parents, sister Charlene Hoskins, brother Alfred Bart Howe and nephew Richard Hoskins. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
