Berneice Larimer, 101, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, June 30th. Our family lost the most incredible woman to ever live. At 101 years young, our sweet Berneice joined her wonderful husband in heaven. It wasn’t completely unexpected, but we were not ready.
Grandma brought so much joy to so many people throughout her 101 years of life. Our mother and grandmother Berneice Larimer, was born March 20, 1921 in Bone, Idaho. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother. In 1942, Berneice married the love of her life Benjamin “Bennie” Larimer. Together they would eventually welcome 3 children making the perfect family of 5 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. There they would live a very happy life together until Bennie passed in 2004. Out of this union they were blessed with 56 grandchildren. She cared about her family, never playing favorites, and had a special bond with each and every one of us.
Berneice was such a proud woman and always positive. Her entire life was an amazing example and inspiration to her family. She never lost her sharp mind and would have lived forever if she could. Although we will miss her here on Earth, we know she was reunited with the people she missed so much. You may have passed on but your memories will live on within us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, and the love you have shown us over the years.
Berneice is survived by three children: Anna Mae (Craig) Smith, Monte (Torey) Larimer, and Martha (Chuck) Landgraver, all of Idaho Falls, Id, 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas Monroe and Lydda Anna Louk Caldwell, Benjamin Larimer (husband), 4 sisters; Wanita, Erma, Edith, and Hazel, 1 brother; Glen. She was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; Marie and Troy, and 1 great grandchild; Brody.
