Bettie (Betty) Deloris Helmick went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2013. She was born July 5, 1924, the daughter of Virgil Jack and Elsie Faulconer Huff in Richmond, Virginia.
Bettie married the love her life, Harvey Helmick, on November 28, 1942. They lived in Ellicott City, MD and she gave birth to one daughter, Donna. In 1974 they decided to move to Idaho Falls to be close to their daughter and grandchildren.
Betty was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard, and she walked her little dog, Honey, several times a day.
She is survived by her sister Virginia Dear (Norman) of Lakeland, FL; daughter Donna Bargelski (Michael) of Idaho Falls; grandchildren Chanin Thompson (Jeff) and Chris Bargelski (Gigi) both of Idaho Falls; and her dog Honey.
The family is very thankful to her wonderful neighbors who have helped her throughout the years.
Funeral services where held earlier in the week. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
