Beulah Marie Slighton Kelsch, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away at Eastern Idaho Medical Center on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Beulah was born in Woodville, Idaho on June 13, 1923 to Eva Matthews and James William Slighton.
Beulah was a drummer in the marching band and Graduated from Shelley High School. Following High School Beulah worked at Kress's department store as a bookkeeper. She also worked in the lab at the Idaho Falls Creamery until she married Ralph P. Kelsch on March 5, 1946 at the Holy Rosary Church in Idaho Falls. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2013. Beulah joined the Catholic Church in 1990 and loved to volunteer and tutor at the Holy Rosary School. She was active in the Farm Bureau Federation. She took great pride in her home, especially the yard and flowers. Beulah raised chickens and sold the eggs locally. She enjoyed country music, gardening and loved raising flowers, reading, canning and making pies. She loved family and spending weekends with her husband and family at their cabin in Island Park. Beulah is survived by her three sons Mike (Lupe) Kelsch, Idaho Falls, Brad (Marlene) Kelsch, Libby, Mt, and Alan (Cathy) Kelsch, Idaho Falls; a daughter Dianne Vickers of Boise; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, on the corner of 9th and Lee in Idaho Falls, Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. A Rosary will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 with a visitation following from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. both at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 East 17th Street Idaho Falls. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
