Carl J. Johnson

Carl J. E. Johnson passed away on December 20, 2015. He was born on January 1, 1934 to Otis Carl and Bonnie Blanche Johnson in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Spavinaw area and in 1953 moved to Payette, Idaho. Carl was an accomplished musician. A pretty little gal caught his eye one night while he was playing and he married Pansy Pearl Goff on July 3, 1954. She remained by his side to the very end. Carl worked through the years at Blair and Jacobs, a Dodge/Chrysler dealership and garage and left there to work for his best friend John Harmon at Valley Auto Supply. When Valley Auto was sold he went to work for Ore-Ida Foods where he was injured and forced to retire. Carl and Pansy raised 4 children at their little farm on Star Route in Payette. Surviving Children are: Randal (Lesley) Johnson, Teola (Ken) Sheldon, Tami (Doyle) Harmon and Mike (Chelley) Johnson. Carl also has 12 grandchildren that he was very proud of and was thrilled to be blessed with 17 great grandchildren. He was greeted at heaven's gates by many family members and his precious daughter-in-law Paula. Carl enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt and take the family on camping trips. What Carl would want you to know about him as a man was evident in his life. What you may not know is that when Carl was hopeless and thought no one could love him, God did. He remained faithful to the Lord throughout his life in the imperfect and the perfect moments. It is his wish that everyone would accept the free gift of God's love that he did so many years ago. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth, Idaho.
