Carl Vincent Little, 82, of Payette, passed away peacefully and went home to his Lord and Savior on Sept. 11, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 16th at Ontario Community Church, Ontario (Please dress casual - Blue Jeans). Born on Jan. 7, 1929 in Reno, NV to William and Leora Little. Carl was taught a good work ethic at a very young age, which he kept his entire life. By age nine, Carl began working at a neighbor's dairy farm to support himself. Besides being a farmer, Carl was also a Cowboy, an Air Force Mechanic during the Korean War, worked for the City of Reno, and drove truck for PIE Trucking. In 1959, he became a Teamster and started driving truck for consolidated Freightways (C.F.). He continued driving truck for C.F. until he retired in 1994, at that time he was 200 miles shy of driving 3 million miles. Carl married his first wife Margaret Hapgood in Reno, NV they had two children, Sandy and Glen. They later divorced and Carl moved to Pinole, CA. In 1958, he married Frieda Turk and became a father to Larry, Gary, Ronnie, and Ken. They later divorced. In 1972, Carl married the love of his life, Barbara Castenada; with this union he became the father of Barbara's children, Steve and Penny. Later on in 1974, they had a son, David. Carl is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sister, Shirley; two brothers, Jack and Ken; his children, Larry Wokral of Darby MT, Gary Wokral of Alturas, CA, Ken Little of Livermore, CA, Glen Daken (Kathy) of Rio Linda, CA, Steve Castenada (Tania) of Payette, Penny Ledbetter (Randy) of Roseburg, OR, David Little of Payette eight grandchildren, Christina, Brandy, Brad, Brittany, Nick, Shane, Tyrah, and Russell; and four great grandchildren, Alex Christian, Camryn, and Cali. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, brother, son, and daughter. A special thank you to the staff of Royal Villa for the excellent care they gave Carl.
