Carole Norton Bledsoe, 82, of Ontario, OR passed away peacefully on June 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16th at 10 a.m. with a viewing for family and friends from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 661 SW 12th Street in Ontario. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Carole's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Carole was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Carole was born in Shelly, ID, on Feb. 2, 1930. She was the second of nine children born to Willis and Hazel Norton. While attending Albion State College in Oakley, ID, she met her husband Lloyd Bledsoe. They were married for 54 years until he predeceased her in 2004. Carole loved music all of her life. She was a long-time member of the Musettes singing group in Nampa, and was a member of a trio who sang around the Treasure Valley for years. A highlight of her life was singing at Carnegie Hall in New York City with a group from Ontario's Treasure Valley Community College. The greatest joy of her life was her family. Carole is survived by four children, Kirt and Brooke Bledsoe, Ontario, OR; Craig and Claire Bledsoe, Nampa, ID; Linda Colledge, Boise, ID; and Floyd and Tamera Stensrud, South Jordan, UT. Carole is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
