IDAHO FALLS - Cheryl Ann Johnson, 62, of Idaho Falls passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012. Cheryl was the beloved wife of Owen E. "Skip" Johnson of Idaho Falls.She was the daughter of Charles Bernhard of Idaho Falls, and the late Lorraine Bernhard, and the daughter-in-law of Juanita Johnson of Choctaw, OK. She is survived by four sisters, Marilyn Shaw (Randy) of Idaho Falls, Dianne Crowley (Kevin) of Quincy, MA, Mariellen Smith (Al) of Seven Fields, PA and Suzanne Beaderstadt (Blaine) of Idaho Falls; brother-in-law, Mark Johnson of Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX and sister-in-law, Rene Oglesby of San Diego, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Cheryl worked in many health services positions. She also provided care and services for geriatric residents for many years, including serving as the Director of the Residential Care Facility at the Idaho Falls Good Samaritan Center.
Cheryl had a big heart and dearly loved her family, friends and pets. She had a passion for animals and for wildlife preservation. She enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding birds, caring for her dogs, cats and chickens. She also loved nature and the outdoors. Cheryl enjoyed cooking, reading, music, playing the guitar and jewelry-making. She was also an avid fan of football and hockey. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 15, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church on the corner of Woodruff and 17th Street in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. Burial will be at Ammon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.CHERYL A. JOHNSON
