Clark Louis Davis, 75, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, with his family by his side in a Payette care facility of natural causes. No graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery due to weather. Condolences may be made to Clark's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Born May 25, 1936, to Howard "Boss" Davis and Grace (Prindle) Davis in Payette, ID, Clark never ventured far from home, choosing instead to stay in the area he loved surrounded by family, friends, and a lifetime of memories. Growing up, Clark enjoyed helping his father with farming and graduated from Payette High School in 1954. He later joined his father in the running of the Davis Machine Shop in Payette until the shop closed. In addition to helping with the busy family-run business, Clark spent eight years serving his country in The National Guard. Once his service to his country and family business were over, Clark spent the next 27 years faithfully running the Little/Big Willow mail route in Payette. Clark married and divorced once, but chose to spend the rest of his life as a happy bachelor and devoted father to his three boys, gladly saving them from various scrapes, scraps, and typical boy trouble in their younger years. The only thing that rivaled Clark's love of being a father was the joy of being a grandfather and great grandfather. Clark also had a great love of the outdoors, whether it be fishing, camping, hunting, or just sitting on his front porch enjoying the sunshine. Clark was an only child and is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by son Toby Warner and wife Stephanie of Council, son Mark Davis and wife Shannon of New Plymouth, and son Bert Davis and wife Veronica of Payette, as well as nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all who will miss Clark dearly. Memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
