She started school in Star, ID but moved to New Plymouth with her family when she was in the second grade. When she was a junior in high school, she moved with her parents to Fruitland, ID where she graduated in 1959. She worked for a time for Ore-Ida. Then she went to beauty school in Boise. Upon graduation she worked in Boise for about three years, then in Caldwell, and Weiser. She then moved to Payette where she had her own beauty shop. On June 24, 1966, she married Clifford Ross and they bought a home in Fruitland, where she lived until her death. Colleen was preceded in death by her husband Cliff Ross in March of this year, by her parents and two of her brothers, George Haines and Byrl Haines. She is survived by one brother, Myrl Haines. They had no children but have several nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces. Colleen and Cliff loved hunting and fishing, and RVing. They spent several years as camp hosts in RV parks in Brenda, AZ and Donnelly, ID.
