Born May 30, 1948 in Denver, CO to Helen M. (Lewis) Cross and James M. Cross from Colorado, she was the youngest of nine siblings. While in high school she developed expertise in playing the French Horn and upon graduation was awarded a scholarship to play with Mesa State, CSU, and Adams State Colleges in Colorado. In 1966 she left Colorado and traveled to San Francisco, CA, spent a few months selling handmade flowers on Haight Ashbury before returning to school. Cyndi was a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Colorado and made several parachute jumps. She once took a flight to Oregon, bought a new motorcycle and rode solo back to Colorado. In 1988, Cyndi met her soul mate Gary E. Cover and married him in the fall of 1989. Cyndi worked for the Marriott Corporation as a Health Care Food Service Director and in 1990 was transferred from Colorado to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, ID where she continued to work until another transfer took her to Idaho Falls, Portland, OR, and then to Las Vegas, NV. When Cyndi started having health issues she left Marriott and came home to her husband Gary in Idaho. Cyndi was a very proud member of the Idaho Falls Chapter #85 Order Eastern Stars. She had a heart as big as one could imagine for family, old folks, anyone in need, and animals. Cyndi was never afraid to speak her mind and was a true patriot. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, music, dancing, fishing, and the great outdoors. She is survived by her husband, Gary E. Cover of Idaho Falls, She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Gene, Robert, and Donald Cross, and sister Nancy (Cross) Saunders all of Colorado. Cyndi's free spirit and love of her husband and life wanted all who know her to "remember her as the geese fly by". GOD NOW HAS A LEAD ANGEL! There will be no services in Idaho as all of her remaining relatives live on the western slope of Colorado and she will be returning there for a memorial service at a later date.
