She was born on January 6, 1942, in Queens, New York, to Stephen and Cynthia Miller. Cynthia grew up in New York City and New Hyde Park, New York. She graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New Hyde Park, New York.
She married Jack E. Richert on May 19, 1962, in New Hyde Park, New York, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Cynthia worked for banks and credit unions, in customer service. She was a longtime employee of Westmark Credit Union in Idaho Falls, until her retirement in 2014. Cynthia was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She had moved from Idaho Falls to Boise in September to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons, Kevin (Christine) Richert and Bryan (Barbi) Richert, both of Boise; one brother, Donald Miller of Middletown, New York; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack. A Funeral Mass will be recited at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Christ The King Catholic Church, on the corner of 17th and Woodruff in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
