Dan K. Kimpton, 64 of Twin Falls died Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.
Dan was born July 13. 1946 at Twin Falls the son of Lloyd and Martha Retura Kimpton. He was raised and educated in Twin Falls graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1965. Dan served in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War from 1966 until 1968. He attended College of Southern Idaho where he graduated with his Associated Degree in 1971. On June 27, 1970 he married Loretta Nagel in Twin Falls. He worked at the ID Department Store in Twin Falls while attending Boise Jr. College. In 1971, he went to work at the Hollister Port of Entry where he worked until 1995 when he went to work at Lamb Weston until ill health forced his retirement in 2000.
Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and his beloved Scottish Terrier "Pepper".
The family wishes to thank the ER staff and the ICU Staff, especially Roy and Nada, Dr's. Brown and Mogelson for all their kind attention given to Dan and his family. They also wish to thank Dr's. Lynn Ge-Zerbe and Reddy and a special thanks to Dr. Donald Pica, Thank you and God Bless.
Dan is survived by his wife; Loretta of Twin Falls, his three brothers; George (Clara) Kimpton of Twin Falls, Dave Kimpton of Stanley, Idaho and Steve (Janet) Kimpton of Prestor, Idaho. His sister; Rose Kimpton of Twin Falls. His two nieces and two nephews and four great nieces and four great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles A viewing for Dan will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park", A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park". Burial will follow in Twin Falls Cemetery, Twin Falls. Memorial contributions in Dan's name may be made to Twin Falls Reform Church Missionary Fund, 1631 Grandview Drive, North, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
