Daniel Paul Marcon

Daniel "Dan" Paul Marcon was born on October 21, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and passed away on January 27, 2013. He was 64. He was the middle child of six born to Reno and Maxine Marcon. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, OE Bell and Skyline High School. After high school he attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana and graduated in 1971 with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Dan returned to Idaho Falls as an Insurance Agent at the Marcon Agency.
Dan was a very kind soul and a caregiver to many. He was always there to help anyone in need as generosity was in his nature. He had many talents including painting and gardening. He enjoyed his weekly Wednesday lunches with friends, Betty Anderson and Jackie Utterbeck. Betty had always said that Dan was such a caring human being whom gave more than anyone could ever return. Dan was a devout Catholic and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. At the time of Dan's sudden death he was living in Helena, Montana. Dan is survived by his sisters Franki (Ed deceased) Browning of Idaho Falls, Pearl (Fred deceased) Hahn of Idaho Falls, Marilyn Laugenour of Valley Springs, California and Charlene (Kevin) Sullivan of Seattle, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by his best friend and close family friend, Gene Mallette. Gene was always so kind and generous to Dan. Everyone loved Dan and he will be truly missed. Rest in peace. He is preceded in death by his parents Reno and Maxine Marcon, brother Tony Marcon, brother - in-laws Ed Browning and Fred Hahn. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, on the corner of 9th and Lee in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Services are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
