Darlene Marie Babbitt

Darlene Marie Babbitt, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born September, 10, 1949, in Pocatello, the daughter of Hilbert and Delphia Sasser Heer. She spent her earlier years in Pocatello where she attended schools graduating from Highland High School in 1967. After graduation Darlene attended Links Business College in Boise where she met her husband to be Randy Babbitt, they were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 16, 1968. After their marriage Randy and Darlene resided in Boise. Over the years they lived in many different cities in Idaho while managing apartments and motels. Darlene worked for many elementary schools over the years as a Librarian. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various callings. Darlene was very generous making sure everyone, rather family, friends or stranger had food. She loved reading, sending cards to family and friends on their birthday's or anniversaries but more than life itself Darlene love spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was love and will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Babbitt of Heyburn; a son, Randy Curt Babbitt of Idaho Falls, and a daughter, Raylene Babbitt of Rigby; two brothers, Brent (Margo) Heer and Roger Heer, all of Pocatello and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Erwin Hilbert Heer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS Regional Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Greg Poulter, officiating. Burial will follow at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery in Rigby. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
