Darlene H. Wright, 75, of Rigby, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village. She was born on September 9, 1938, in Elma, Washington, to Lester and Mildred Lagger King. She attended Elma High School in Elma Washington. She lived in Alaska for awhile to help babysit her nieces and nephews. She met Leo Wright in California and they were married on February 24, 1963 in Winterhaven, California. They lived in California until September of 1997 when they moved to Rigby and have lived here since then. Darlene was a telephone operator but her most important job that she loved the most was being a wife and mother. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Leo Wright of Rigby; her sister, Betty (Gerald) Ostrom of Falls City, Washington; her brother, Bud (Maxine) King of Washington. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mona Jean Wright, her parents, and four brothers and sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. A rosary will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, with a viewing for family and friends following the rosary from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
