David Kimberly Dahl, 84, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was born on July 14, 1930, in Three Forks, Montana, to David and Jeanette Bell Dahl. He married Fran Murphy in 1959 in Illinois, they were later divorced in 1963. He married Diana Dahl in 1977 in Missoula, Montana. He served in the Air Force for 20 years from 1947 - 1967, as sergeant, and while there he became an electronics technician. He was stationed in Newfound, Greenland, Canada, Labrador, Iceland, England, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany and Belgium. He then spent 20 years in civil service working for National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as an electronics technician before retiring at the age of 63. In Missoula, Montana, he was a member of big Brothers and Sisters and Hospice. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, camping and was an avid fisherman. David was a generous and compassionate man who loved life, his family, his faith and his dog Mickey. Survivors include his wife, Diana of Idaho Falls; sons, Danny of Long Island, New York, Erik and Karl, both of Boise; and sister, Paula of Oceanside, California; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, David Dahl, Jr. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant.
