David Merle Hinkley, age74, died of natural causes on April 28, 2015 at home in Payette, Idaho.
Dave was born on March 25, 1941 in Pollock, Idaho to parents Mildred and Merle Hinkley. He served with the United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal. He moved back to Boise, Idaho and accepted a position as a house mover at Huckstep House Movers, then back to Payette, Idaho where he drove truck for Arlo G Lott and drove truck, delivered, and built church pews at The Marshall Company (Marshall Church Furniture).
Dave was a great and loving father. He married Annie in 1962 and again in 1975; the couple had one child together and four from previous marriages. Dave was a social, active man who was deeply involved in helping and making people smile for the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and just spending time with his family and friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring, gentle man.
Dave is survived by his wife, Janett Ann Watkins Hinkley (Annie) of Payette, Idaho; daughter, Davana Steiner (D) of Payette, Idaho; daughter, Kay Young (Birdy) and Brion Sayler of Payette, Idaho; his oldest daughter; his granddaughter, Savana Corta and her husband Steven Corta and their three boys of Ontario, Oregon; grandson, David Scott Steiner of Payette; his grandson, Josh Lincoln of Boise, Idaho; his granddaughter, Chalet Torres and Ty and their daughter of Pittsburg, Texas; grandson, Michael Charles and his son and daughter of Austin, Texas; brother, Donald Hinkley and his wife, Jean of Idanha, Oregon; brother, Albert "Alby" Hinkley and his wife Mabel "Tootsie" of Weiser, ID; sister-in-law, Jane Hinkley of Caldwell, Idaho; and of course his Watkin's Family which we all know there is to many to list but are NEVER left out.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Hinkley; father, Merle Hinkley; daughter, Sherri Villeda; brother, Walter Hinkley (Ike); sister, Rita Shaw; sister, Patricia Rogers; and sister, Virgina Weygint.
