Dolores Virginia Heap, 80 of Twin Falls died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Twin Falls Care Center.
She was born December 14, 1930 at Glenns Ferry, Idaho the daughter of Jesse E. and Edith A Collison Slade. She was raised and educated in Glenns Ferry until 1947 when she was in an auto accident which resulted in Dolores being a paraplegic. While recovering at Shriner's Hospital in Salt Lake City she met Charles Heap. They married on January 1, 1964 at The Costa Mesa LDS Temple. Later they returned to Emmett, Idaho Following Charles's death, Dolores moved to Twin Falls. In 2000 she moved to the Twin Falls Care Center where she has since resided. Dolores was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was loved by all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face. Dolores is survived by her brother; Leon Slade of Gig Harbor, Washington, Three sisters; Joann (Bud) Henson of Emmett, Idaho, Patricia Anderson of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and Sue (Ed) Skinner of Twin Falls, Idaho. A brother in law; Ray Jacobs of Twin Falls. Numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sister and a brother. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Emmett Cemetery, Emmett, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dolores's name may be made to the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital, 600 W Robbins Road, Boise, ID 83702-4565 or to the Shiner's Hospital for Children, 1275 Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
