Donald W. Hahn, age 89, passed away in his home October 23, 2018. Don was born to William and Clara Hahn, March 12, 1929 in DeKalb, Illinois. Don grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, graduating high school there in 1948. In high school he met Juanita D. Nelson. A year after graduation, they first dated and later married on February 4, 1950. Don enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1949 and served for 4 years. Don and Juanita started family during his Air Force service and was honorably discharged after achieving rank of Staff Sergeant. Don worked in masonry construction after the Air Force and built a successful masonry contracting business in the suburban Chicago area with his brother Robert. In 1970, after many western vacation tours, the family put down some western roots by building a vacation home in Pinedale, Wyoming on Fremont Lake. The beauty of the northwest Wyoming inspired Don and Juan to buy property in Jackson, Wyoming in 1975. They moved west permanently. They lived 22 years in Jackson meeting friends and developing a love for golf. They started a new chapter in 1995 by moving to Idaho Falls finding great friends, golf and a great life style. Don was a hard worker and good golfer, shooting his age many times at age 67.
Don is survived by his wife Juanita and 3 sons Donald Hahn (Linda) of Casper, WY. Charles Hahn (Sandy) of Morrison, CO. and Jeffrey Hahn of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is preceded in death by son Steven (Shari) who lived in Jackson, Wyoming. Arrangements were made under the direction of Buck Miler Hann Funeral Home.
