Donald met Shirley Gauer while skiing in Reno and they were married a year later on April 10, 1959. Within a year, he started his own gas station business with Texaco Oil Company in Oakland, California. He then went to work for his brother-in-law and learned the spring and suspension trade. He moved his family back to Idaho Falls in 1976, and opened his own business, Automotive Spring and Overloads, which is still in operation today. He had a strong love for his family, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a hard-working, kind, good natured man, who always had a smile on his face and a generous heart. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Yagues of Idaho Falls; two sons, Kevin (Shelly) Yagues of Boise, and Scott (Deborah) Yagues of Idaho Falls; one daughter, Donalee (Mark) Siffin of New York City, New York; three sisters, Carolyn (Donald) Draney of Moses Lake, Washington, Frances Reichert of Bakersfield, California, and Mona (Carl) Schorzman of Boise; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
