Doris Irene Wilson Watkins

March 3, 1932 — April 25, 2014

Doris Irene Watkins, 82, of Fruitland, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 in Emmett. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 1st at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Condolences may be made to Doris' family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com.

Doris was born March 3, 1932 to Howard and Blanche Wilson in Sadorus, Illinois. She graduated from Unity High School in Tolono, Illinois in 1950 and married Bill Watkins of Fruitland, Idaho in 1952. They had four children during their married years. Doris enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with her love of the piano. She lived in Fruitland and was employed as an accountant most of her adult life spending the last several years with Bledsoe Accounting in Fruitland.

Doris leaves behind her son Rick (Kim) Watkins and their children, Leslie (Rick) Brock, Jennifer (Matt) Wardas, Dyan (Kenny) Stephens, and Bill Watkins; daughter Trina Ireland and her children Toni Jo Ireland (Josh Scholl) and Shauna Ireland (Les Randall); and daughter Twila Hoffman and her child Shelbie; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Mable Webb of Sadorus, Illinois; two sister-in-laws Joyce Wilson and Betty Wilson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Mickey Lee; former husband Bill Watkins; grandson Jason Ogburn; and brothers Harold and Ben Wilson.

Special thanks to caregiver and friend Sandra Boren and River's Edge in Emmett, Idaho as well as her third son, Kirt Bledsoe.
