Dorothy Mabel Samson, 88, of Payette, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012. A viewing for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8th at the Assembly of God Church, New Plymouth, with Pastor Nick Hylton officiating. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Dorothy was born on March 6, 1924 to Fred and Rosie (Hines) Bugher in Bayard, NE. On April 21, 1950 she married Wayne William Samson in Gering, NE. She worked in the Fruitland Schools Cafeteria for 26 years and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in New Plymouth. Dorothy enjoyed reading her Bible and making quilts for family, friends, and the church burnout program. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Dwaine (Jodi) Samson of Payette and Paul (Lori) Samson of Nampa; her grandchildren, Earl (Pam) Wells, Jimmy (Lisa) Wells, Marty (Stacy) Wells, Julie (John) Hill, Christy (James) Buttrum, Denise (Chris) Mayes, Cody (Susan) Samson, Matthew (Kim) Samson, Tina Curry, Sheri (Joel) Manahan; 16 great grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Lambert of Boise and brother, Glenn Bugher of Oklahoma. Her husband Wayne, daughter Elaine Wells, granddaughter Angie Wells, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
