Dwain Albert Thompson, 79, passed away at home in Payette Oct. 12, 2012 with lots of family and love around him. A viewing will be held from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. (PST), Saturday, Oct. 20th at Whitebird Cemetery, Whitebird, ID. Condolences may be made to Dwain's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Dwain was born June 11, 1933 in Cottonwood, ID to Oscar and Tempest Thompson. He attended school in Cottonwood; graduating in 1952. In April 1953, he married Wilma Paul in Reno, NV. They had three children; Carol 1954, Deward 1957, and Tammy 1961. The family lived all over the country as he did ranch work and as a bulldozer operator. He had more friends than most people do in a lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Wilma of Payette; his children, Carol Cooper (Gary) of Hermiston, OR, Deward Thompson (Kathy) of Durkee, OR, and Tammy Jacobs (Ron) of Payette; nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; a brother, Lee of Lacey, WA and a sister, Marie of Oregon. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Memorials may be made to the Dwain Thompson Fund at any US Bank.
