Elbert Eugene (Doc) Walker passed away February 27, 2012 at Woodstone Retirement Center. He was born November 17, 1919 in Berryville, Arkansas to Joe Luther and Ruth Ann Walker.
Dad received the nickname '"Doc" at the age of four years when attending an auction held by Doc Rose and returned home to gather his things together to hold his own auction. The name stayed with him the remainder of his life.
Dad enlisted in the Army Air Corps when the United States entered World War II. He served honorably as a gunnery instructor for the duration of the war achieving the rank of sergeant. He loved his country always.

Remembrances can be made to Visions Hospice. Our gratitude goes also to the warm and caring people of Woodstone Retirement Center.
Our Dad survived a Great War, cancer, heart surgery and three daughters. He was a good and honorable man. He lived his life by his saying "'All you leave behind is your good name."
