Eldon Laker Moyes

Eldon L. Moyes, 93, of Gibsonburg, OH, formerly of Payette, ID passed away March 27, 2012 at his home in Ohio. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon (12 p.m.) prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 2nd at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Eldon was born May 7, 1918 in Murtaugh, ID to William R. and Mini (Laker) Moyes. On Jan. 26, 1939, he married Juanita Johnson in Payette, ID. Eldon served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a Crane Operator of Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years and retired in 1974. Eldon also built houses and did carpentry work for various contractors. He enjoyed target shooting, gardening and carpentry work. He is survived by his children, Joann Ray (Ralph) of Decaturville, TN, Nathan A. Moyes (Evon) and Harvey L. Moyes
(Janice) both of Layton, UT, Billy J. Moyes of Tennessee, Ronald Moyes of Bath Springs, TN, and Larry D. Moyes (Pamela) of Gibsonburg, OH; sister, Zelfa Bush of Montrose, CO; 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. His wife, Juanita Moyes, his parents, four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O.
