Elisa Valenciano Valenciano Castillo

Elisa Castillo, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at a care facility in Boise. A viewing for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 17th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. (noon), Saturday, June 18th at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Fruitland. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Elisa was born June 20, 1927 to Cruz and Atansia Valenciano in Melvin, TX. She married Juan M. Castillo in 1941 and lived for a short time in Lorenzo, TX before moving to LaFeria, TX. The family moved to Payette, ID in 1963. Elisa lived a life of service, serving her entire family beginning with service to her siblings when she lost her mother at the age of nine. She continued to serve her husband, children, and grandchildren. She truly sacrificed herself for the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan in 1975 and one grandchild, Katrina in 1995. Elisa is survived by her children, Alberto (Fina) Copperas Cove, TX, Juan (Peggy) Boise, Carlos (Juanita) Boise, Jesus (Cheryl "Squirrel") Creswell, OR, Oscar (Cheryl) Payette, Corina Hathaway (James R.) Worley, ID, and Ernie (Lynn) Boise; 17 grandchildren and 24.5 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Seattle Cancer Center, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O.
