Elizabeth Corder Deuel

August 12, 1936 — October 30, 2015

Elizabeth Corder Deuel, 79, of Payette, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5th at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Beth's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. She was born Aug. 12, 1936 in Butler, OK to George and Cynthia (Raab) McClure. Beth grew up in Willow Creek and Harper, OR with her parents, brother and sister. She married Clinton Corder in 1955 and they had a daughter and son. In 1967, they bought the Pirates Cove and renamed it the The Big C Drive In; which they ran for 26 years. Beth was very involved in the Payette Valley Riders and loved her horses. She later married Bill Deuel in 1993 and had a home in Annex, OR where she loved to garden, sew, raise Pomeranians, and be in the kitchen baking. Beth was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church in Payette. She is survived by her husband Bill Deuel and his daughter Charlotte of Beaverton, OR; a daughter Jeannie (Brent) Vaughn of Fruitland, ID; a son Craig (Robbyn) Corder of Vancouver, WA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother Pat (Mary Fran) McClure of Wenatchee, WA; a sister June McClure of Ontario, OR; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Cynthia McClure and her husband Clinton Corder. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O.
