Beth was deeply devoted to her family. She was a kind and committed mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She began life in the Gallatin Valley of Montana. She spent much of her early years between her families home in Three Forks and her grandmothers' ranch outside Bozeman. She attended primary school at Three Forks and Fowler Schools. Beth attended her high school years at Three Forks and graduated from Powell County High School in 1946. She was a member of Rainbow Girls, and the League of Women Voters. Throughout her life she was an avid reader, lover of music and gardener. Enjoyed long talks over card games, around the camp fires, and over tea. She is survived by five children: Gayle Solomon (Polston), Eric Steingruber and wife Robin, Carrie Jenkins and husband Talley, and Rebecca Steingruber, David Steingruber and wife Pat. Grandchildren: Brian Nimmick, Brent Nimmick, Barry Nimmick, Heather Polston, Eric C. Steingruber, Kaden Steingruber McKenzie Steingruber, Ta'Lynn Jenkins, Rob Steingruber and Ryan Steingruber. As well as, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.
Beth was preceeded in death by both parents, spouses Wayne Polston and John Steingruber, son David Poltson and son-in-law Rick Solomon.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 455 W. Sunnyside in Idaho Falls, with Pastor Larry Cudmore, officiating. Interment will be held by the family at a later date in Mount Green Cemetary, Willow Creek, Montana. The family suggest that memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice.Elizabeth Jean Steingruber (Ennis) was born May 29, 1928 in Spokane, Washington. Her parents were Gayle Matthew and Clarence Wooster Ennis of Three Forks, Montana.
