Elma Laree Jones

Elma was born November 1, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Fred Vaughn and Sadie Jane Lee Kelley. They later moved to Ibapah, Utah where as a child she lived a lot of time in the sheep camp cooking for and working along side her father. Her best friends were her dog "Smokey" and her horse "Danger". These times were the best times of her young life. She married Earl Eugene Jones on July 30, 1942, Elma loved spending time with her family and friends, playing games, listening to music, dancing, drinking and having fun. But most of all she loved to laugh which she did to the very end. She also enjoyed going to the Pioneer Club to play 5,000 and have morning coffee with her friends there. Elma is survived by her children; Vaughn (Edna) Jones of Twin Falls, Wanda (Don) McMurrian of Nampa, Idaho, Punky (Vern) Mort of Twin Falls and Beckie (Carl) Matlock of Idaho Falls. She has 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, her parents, one brother, three sisters, two children and two grandchildren. A celebration of Elma's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park'.
