Erma Hogan

February 5, 1916 — December 21, 2011

Erma Caldwell-Hogan, 95 of Ririe entered Heaven on Saturday December 17, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was born February 5th, 1916 near Bone, Idaho to Tom Caldwell & Lydda Louk Caldwell. She met Hap Hogan in 1938 and they were married on Sept. 9th, 1939. They were blessed with four children: LeRoy, Tom, David, and Darlene.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking, dancing, gardening, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and Slim Whitman music. She was a long time member of the Ririe Community Church.
She is survived by two sisters: Bernice Larimer and Hazel James both of Idaho Falls; her children: Tom (Sheila) Hogan, and Darlene (Ramon) Bitsoi, both of Ririe; and David (Julie) Hogan of Nampa, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hap, her son LeRoy, her granddaughter Leslie, one brother Glen Caldwell, and two sisters, Wanita Moses of Blackfoot and Edith Applegate of Denver, CO.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 22, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church 785 1st Street in Idaho Falls, with Pastor Kirk Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at the funeral, and for one hour prior to services on Thursday at the Church.
