Ethel Elizabeth Willis Tate, 86, of Fruitland, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home. No services will be held locally, as she will be interred with her family in Farmer, MO. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Elizabeth's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Elizabeth was born to Buford and Kathleen (Maiden) Willis on Sept. 28, 1925 in Bowling Green, MO. Elizabeth and her husband, Virgil, moved to Idaho in the early 1960's, residing in Boise for one year before moving to Fruitland in 1964. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Buford Newton Willis, Jr., and her grandson, Aaron Kimmes. She is survived by her sons, Leon of Morgan Hill, CA and David of Weiser, ID, and her daughter, Susan of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. Elizabeth will best be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and neighborhood children, never forgetting a birthday or special occasion. She had a special way with them, and they all loved her in return. She kept all her friends and family informed through her many cards, letters, photos and phone calls.
