Eugene (Gene) Krogh 88, of Idaho Falls passed away Friday November 18, 2011 at Peak Village Assisted Living Center.
Eugene was born January 4, 1923 to Carl and Lila McDougall Krogh in Hawley, Minnesota. He spent his young life helping out on the farm and raising animals for his 4H projects. While stationed at the Great Lakes training facility near Chicago, Ill., he met Virginia Riordan. They were married on March 4, 1944 in New London, Connecticut. Together they had eleven children.
Eugene worked at the I.N.E.L. as an instrument and electrical supervisor for more than thirty years. After retiring from the I.N.E.L., he kept busy with his grandchildren, volunteering his time for various nursing homes in the area, and many hours for the Veterans, cancer, and heart associations.
