Eva Ruth Richards

February 4, 1922 — February 8, 2012

Eva Ruth Richards, 90, of Ontario, formerly of New Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012. A visitation for family and friends will be from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Feb. 13th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Eva was born in Bridgeport, NE, one of 11 children of Wilbur and Pearla Butler. She married Keith Richards on Nov. 24, 1937 in Fullerton, NE. They moved to New Plymouth, ID in 1941, where they raised their family of seven children. Keith passed away Dec. 16, 1985. Eva retired in 1987 ending 30 years of work with Ore-Ida. Eva remained in New Plymouth until 2004 when she moved to Dorian Place in Ontario, OR. Eva and Keith had seven children, Bob Richards, Hillsboro, OR, Bill Richards (deceased), Ruth (Jim) Brown, Payette, ID, Carol (Ron) Hall, Fruitland, ID, Margaret (Tim) Johnson, Estacada, OR, Shirley (Paul) Hodge, Fruitland, ID, Tom (Meredith) Richards, Grand Forks, ND. She is survived by her sisters, Berniece Hart, Bridgeport, NE, Mary Candy, Bend, OR, her children, their spouses, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Plymouth Quick Response Unit, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
