Evelyn Nina Daddow Dykema

April 23, 1927 — January 6, 2015

Evelyn was born on April 23, 1927, in Loup City, NE, to Edgar and Cora (Gray) Daddow. She was 87 years old and very proud of that fact! She left this earth on Jan. 6, 2015, her heart not able to handle what her body had been through. Mom had a network of friends that made her life fun...especially Jan and Cherry, her Walmart gang, her senior citizen bunch and church family...she loved you all. She is survived by her son Dan Dykema (Faye), and granddaughters, Nichelle and Aubrey (Matt); daughter Sharon; daughter Coralee Nelson (Troy), and grandchildren Cari (Jason), Chrissy (Justin), Katy (Bryan), Tyrell (Amanda); (daughter Diane) grandchildren Julie (Greg), Lance (Christy), Ryan (Kayla), and Ruth LaNett; daughter Lisa Tate (Hans) and grandchildren Jennessa and Jordan; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews that she adored. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph 10 years ago; daughter Diane; and all of her siblings. There will be a viewing from 5pm to 7pm, Sunday, Jan. 11th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. We would love to see you and hear your stories of how our mom touched your life...maybe wedding cakes, specialty cakes, beautiful cookies, music for church, a wedding, a loved one's funeral, or Christmas carols around the piano or organ. We will have a celebration of her life at 2pm, Monday, Jan. 12th at the First Baptist Church, New Plymouth. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Condolences may be made to Evelyn's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. We will miss her so much but I can see the effect of her unconditional love in every member of her family...she made this world a better place and will be waiting with Dad and Diane and the rest of heaven for you...all because of what Jesus did for us! To honor Evelyn memorials may be made to the New Plymouth Senior Citizens Center, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, PO Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
