Floyd M Gross, 82, passed away Nov. 23, 2015 after a long battle with heart disease. He was born May 31, 1933 in Ola, Idaho to Gustav Gross, Jr. and Mamie Hinkley Gross. After graduating as valedictorian from Fruitland High School, he received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Idaho Floyd started his long career in chemical engineering eventually following an entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating several businesses including Harry Henry Trucking and A-1 Auto and Truck, Inc. He lost the love of his life, Maxine James, his first wife at a young age. He later married Jean Bosenburry. He is survived by two daughters and one son, Melissa Collins (Stan) of Wadsworth, OH Kimberly Gross and Douglas Gross of Carmel. IN; three grandchildren, Ben Collins , Josh Collins and Tabitha Soeder (Jason); Two great granddaughters, Maxine and Mackenzie Soeder: three sisters and one brother, Betty Miles of Boise, ID; Virginia Smith of Ponca City, OK; Lila Boyd (Bruce) of Belfair, WA; Harold Gross of Fruitland, ID; and numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Maxine gross; his second wife Jean Gross; and two sister, Darlene Stang and Edith Jacks. Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel Fruitland. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.
