Frances Louise Robinson, 89, of Payette, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at a Nampa care facility. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Frances was born May 21, 1922 in Bucoda, WA to Carl and Myrtle (Robison) Robinson, joining a two year old brother, Virgil. In 1926 the family moved to Payette where she graduated from Payette High School in 1941. She joined SPARS (United States Women's Coast Guard) in 1943. After being honorably discharged Frances worked at various jobs: FBI in New York, KWEI Radio Station in Weiser, Idaho First National Bank in Weiser. In 1954, she began working for Mountain Bell Telephone in Weiser and transferred to Phoenix, AZ, working there until her retirement in 1985. After retiring she would make her home in Ontario, OR until her deteriorating health forced her to move to an assisted living home in Nampa. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church in Payette. She loved camping, reading and Lucy (Lucille Ball). She is survived by her niece Rhonda and her husband Bill Steinmann; nephew Rex Robinson and his wife Patty; great nephews and nieces Carl Steinmann (Diana), Liese Nielsen (Mike), Cathy Roher (Mike), and Steve Robinson; great-great nephews and nieces Caden Steinmann, Gwyneth and Will Nielsen, Jordan, Hailey, and Emma Davison, and Jayda Robinson. Frances was preceded in death by her brother Virgil and their parents. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
