Gerald "Jerry" Storey

Gerald "Jerry" Stanley Storey, 68, of Twin Falls passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center with his family at his side. Gerald was born September 9, 1944 in Wendell, Idaho the son of Helen M. McIntosh and Herbert S. Storey. Jerry enlisted in the US Army in June 1968; he actively served his country and earned a Purple Heart as well as a Bronze Star during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in June of 1974. Jerry was married to Vickie Thacker from 1971 until 1980. Jerry and Vickie had three children. He later married Christine Gortcinsky Wilde in October 1981. Jerry was a truck driver in the 70's and 80's, changing occupation to a mechanic for Century Equipment in Boise, Idaho. He then started working for Burk's Tractor in Twin Falls during the 90's where he retired in 2009. He is survived by his mother Helen, wife Christine, brothers J.T. Storey and Carl Storey, sons Gerald W. Storey, Andy Denman, his daughters Jennifer L. Pettis, Jonnie R. Peterson, Jessica M. Gummersall and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his faithful companions Milo, Otis and Wednesday. He is preceded in death by father Herbert and sons James S. Storey and Rory L. Denman. A visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 from 6-8pm at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park". A graveside service will take place Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 3:00pm at the Richfield Cemetery. Services are under the direction of director Lance Cox.
