Gilbert Lynn Horn

Gilbert Lynn Horn, 65, of Fruitland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Fruitland. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, Sept. 12th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Arrangements and service are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Condolences may be made to Gilbert's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. He was born June 16, 1949, to Clifford and Leona (Nelson) Horn and resided in the Treasure Valley his entire life. Gilbert attended Fruitland schools and later went to work for the Rural Road District in Ontario doing road construction until he retired in 2003 when he became disabled. He loved the outdoors and the mountains and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing. He especially loved going to Granite Lake. Gilbert is survived by a son Travis Horn of Payette; a daughter Tracy Moore (Shawn) of Fort Dodge, IA; his mother Leona Horn of Fruitland; a sister Phyllis McKee (Lyle) of Fruitland; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Horn; a brother Frank; and his grandparents.
