Gordon Leonard Sincomb III (Trey), passed away suddenly on October 1, 2021, at his home in Shelley ID. Trey was born on January 1, 1979, in Pasadena, TX to Gordon Sincomb Jr. and Pamela Sincomb. On May 5, 2015, he married the love of his life Melissa Barrett, and had 3 beautiful children: Amber, Savannah, and Lee. Trey always took his friends under his wing and considered them family. To him, family was the most important thing, anyone that knew him knows his favorite saying, “I don’t have friends only family.” He loved his dogs, playing in his band, driving his truck, and riding his motorcycles. He was a strong man but had a soft heart for those he loved dearly. When he saw you in need, he was there to lift you back up. He became a father figure to many and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
Growing up, Trey loved fishing with his Papaw, Dad, Uncle Virgil, and Uncle Sammy. Many hours were spent out in the fishing boat setting trout line. He had a great love for animals and raised award winning rabbits. He helped his Aunt June with her Great Pyrenees show dogs. He trained his own horses starting at the age of 9. He tried his hand at saddle bronc riding. In his teens, he was a competitive swimmer and had to teach his football team how to swim so he could swim competitively and taught them how to run for cross country. He was in the ROTC for 4 years. He became a master at Mario Brothers and beat his mom many times on an old Nintendo system.
His love of music began at an early age and he began playing the guitar at the age of 7. He taught himself how to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, mandolin, banjo, resonator, organ, harmonica, and self-taught voice. His first band was with his life-long best friend, Justin Kidd, which led to numerous other bands.
He was preceded in death by his father Gordon L. Sincomb Jr., Lee and Curtis Harrington (Papaw and Mamaw), Gordon L. Sincomb Sr. (Grandpa), Betty McKey (Grandma), June St Onge (Aunt), Virgil Muncey (Uncle), and Sammy Harrington (Uncle).
He is survived by his wife Melissa Sincomb, mother Pamela Sincomb, daughters, Amber and Savannah, son Gordon Leonard Sincomb IV, and granddaughter, Emily. Sisters, Jannette McClain (Steve) and Leonora Singleton. An aunt, Penny (Fred) Schultz; uncles, Kerry Harrington and Larry St. Onge and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also had many friends who were dearly loved by him and became part of his family.
