Gordon Sincomb, Jr. 69, of Dubois passed away on February 20, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to health complications. Gordon was born on September 25, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Gordon Sincomb SR. and Betty Sincomb.
Gordon joined the USMC in 1960 where he served for 8 years, receiving an honorable discharge in 1968. During his service he was an American Advisor. He received numerous medals and honors including The Good Conduct Medal 1st and 2nd, National Defense Service Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was a Sargent in the US Marine Corp. Anyone that knew him knew he was Marine through and through. Semper Fi.
On March 6, 1963 he married Haruko Higa. They had 3 daughters, Sharon born in
1963 (deceased), Jannette born in 1964, and Leonora born in 1966. They later divorced.
On February 17, 1978 he married Pamela Harrington, the love of his life.
They were married for 34 years. They had one son Gordon Sincomb III whom
he spent allot of time with.
Gordon was a Marine to hear and a true Truck driving man. Any person that
knows him will have memories of him telling stories and talking for
hours. He was a Certified Deep Sea scuba diver. He loved to tell stories
and share his experiences with everyone he met. He had many great loves
Family being the most important. He was a true family man. He loved
driving truck. He enjoyed fishing with his son and Father-in-Law. His
fishing stories are so numerous. Gordon had a tough exterior; if you didn't
get scared away then you were in his heart forever. He would do anything
for anyone and made sure you knew how he felt. He had a big heart and loved
life. He loved his animals, dog and horses included. He loved working cows
and riding his four-wheeler with friends and family. He was a loving
husband and father and friend to all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Sincomb, SR., one sister
June St. Onge, and one daughter Sharon. He is survived by his mother Betty Mckey of Louisiana, Wife Pam Sincomb of
Dubois, ID., Daughters Jannette McClain and Leonora (Jeff)
Singleton both of Orlando, FL., Son Gordon (Melissa) Sincomb III of Idaho.
Sisters JoAnn Osborne of Washington, Jean Horton of Louisiana, Brother in
law Larry St. Onge of New Mexico, Step brothers Jerry (Betty ) Burns of
Louisiana, Jimmy (Caroline) Burns of Louisiana, and Step sister Diane
Burns of Louisiana, Grand children Justin, Kaley, and Amber, and God
Daughter Tatiana Hool. He also had numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 25, 2012 at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street Idaho Falls. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Military Honors are under the direction of the Bonneville Veterans Team.
