Gregg Allen Holland, 50, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born on August 30, 1964, to David and Gayle Holland.
Gregg grew up in Alaska for over twenty years before he moved to Seattle, Washington to begin his own Hollands Hardwood business where he installed beautiful custom designed flooring for another 20 years. Gregg then moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon where he and his wife, Kathy, began their business together, Northern Lights Flooring, which they ran for over ten years. After retiring from flooring, Gregg became a driving instructor for Knight Refrigerated Company which eventually relocated him and his family to Idaho. Gregg had a bright personality that could light up any room he entered. He could fix or build anything out of nothing and still have parts left over. Gregg had many nicknames given to him by family and friends (Mcguyver, Uncle Egg, The King, Pops, Groggos and Grampa), but he was known by everyone as a fisherman. "Before the sun comes up, "till the stars come out, FISH ON!" Gregg had a favorite salmon hole that he would ritually attend every spring for every ten years where he specifically requested to be laid to rest. Gregg is preceded in death by his aunts, Barbara Funk and Arlene Rummage; and his father-in-law, Darrel Grim. Gregg leaves behind his loving wife of 15 years, Kathy; his daughter, Harmony (son-in-law, Tim, grandson, Calvin); his son, Joshua; mother and father, David and Gayle; mother-in-law, Arlene Grim; sister, Diana (brother-in-law, Kirk); nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Cameron, Ricky, (Patti, Bob, Savanna, Ane) (Chris, Marina, Sylas) and many more family and friends in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, and Idaho. We will forever miss Gregg's warmth, his infectious laughter, and his undeniable sense of humor "Hey Yo!" Forever remembered, never forgotten. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls.
