Harley Duane Rish Jr.

February 24, 1952 — May 29, 2018

Harley D. Rish Jr., age 66, and resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away on May 29, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Winner, South Dakota to Harley A. Rish and Mary A. Rish. When he was 7, he moved to Idaho Falls and grew up in the highland ballpark area where he made many lifelong friends. During his life, he worked many jobs including Challenge Dairy, V1 Propane, Bowl-ero, and general construction. He married Donna M. Rish in Elko, Nevada on October 22, 1973. Harley's hobbies included fishing, playing baseball, bowling, shooting pool, and golfing. He fiercely loved his wife, children, grandchildren, "adopted" children, and all of his lifelong friends. He had a great sense of humor and was always giving someone a hard time about something. Harley is preceded in death by his parents. Harley is survived by his wife, Donna Rish of Idaho Falls, his son, Toby Rish (Missy) of Idaho Falls, his daughter Channel Rish of Idaho Falls, grandsons Jordan Blacker and Andrew Blacker of Idaho Falls, granddaughters Kaycie Newton, Lola Newton, Ellie Rish, and Emma Rish of Idaho Falls, his brothers, Robert Rish (Merrilyne) and Gary Rish (Sonja) of Idaho Falls, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home. Arrangements made under the direction of Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home. Online condolences can be left at www.buckmillerhann.com.
