Herbert Herb Wayne Fender

Herbert Wayne Fender, age 95 of Filer, died on Wednesday, April 1st. Herb was born to Robert Lester & Anna Belle Fender in Filer on March 3, 1920. He was raised and educated in Filer, where he graduated in 1939. On May 24, 1947 he married the love of his life, Amy Waegelin on the family farm where they farmed and raised their family until moving into Filer in 1982, retiring from farming in 1986. Herb is survived by his children Patricia Wolfe (Doug Brown), Karen (Tom) Ash and Jerre (Mary) Fender, "adopted" daughter Judy(Farzin) Goran, along with 11 grandchildren: Justin(Erin), Tristan(Brooke), Torin, Layla, Jackson(Victoria), Joey, Aisha, Ranna, Ryan, Traci(Shawn) & Staci, also by 9 great-grandchildren. Herb was preceded in death by his wife Amy (on March 22nd) along with his parents, sister Dorothy and brother Robert, and son-in-law Frank. The funeral service will be held at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" on Friday, April 3rd at 2 pm. Viewing will be held at 1:30 pm prior to service.
