Irene Francis Kaster, 84, of Burley, Idaho passed away early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls.
Irene was born March 27, 1927 in Paul, Idaho the daughter of Carl and Emelia Schultz. She grew up and attended schools in Paul and Burley. Irene married Glen Kaster in 1956 in Twin Falls and to this union three children were born, Milo, Tammy and Cindy.
Irene and Glen worked the farm and ranch in the Hunt area for many years. She also worked for 15 years at the J.R. Simplot potato processing plant as production maintenance.
Irene's love was being in the outdoors whether it be working out in the farm taking care of the animals or out in her yard and garden, she loved being outside. She also enjoyed getting in the car and taking road trips around the valley.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Salts of Burley, Idaho and Tammy Ross of Juneau, Alaska; as well as her two sisters, Laura Bird of Boise, Idaho and Darlene Banner of Burley, Idaho. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen; one son, Milo Kaster and one sister, Dorothy Larsen.
No public services for Irene will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary and Crematory, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
